After Thanksgiving, Alex and Totoro went tubing in Big Bear. There isn't enough snow to have the skii lifts running, but it was cold enough to blow man-made snow and slide down a hill on an innertube. Lots of fun!

YeeeeHaaaaw!!! I rode a horse in the Temecula wine country. The sunset was beautiful and riding through the vineyards was fun.... except for the times my horse would go get a bite of the grape vines to snack on. Trotting is the best!

Fire Story from California

To my dear buddies in Australia


Hi, I am your buddy from Rhodes elementary ( in Mrs. Krupnick's class), California. About a week and a half ago, we had a huge fire broke out in our area (Chino Hills) It started from this city called Corona and was passed onto Yorba Linda to Chino Hills where I live. We had the group of guest at our house that day (November 9th) The fire started in the afternoon of that day, however, we did not notice it until it came nearby our house. By evening time, we were able to see the red and blue flames over the hills!! It looked horrible and scary. After the guests left, we could not sleep with the fire in a distance, but we were so tired we fell asleep. At four o'clock in the morning, the police car came to our neighborhood and ordered to evacuate. My mom woke me up with worried look on her face. She packed our photoes and some other important belongings in our car. I had such short time to pack my own belongings, I just grabbed anything that I had in my sight. That was the first time in my life I ever have been to a shelter, which was the high school in our neighborhood. The Red Cross people had already prepared the food and the cods for us to rest. I never felt so grateful for those people who work for that organization! Through this unforgettable experience, I have learned the great lesson about not to take anything around us for granted. The clean air, the trees and the plants and most of all, our loving family and friends because they are always around us, but hard to notice and be thankful ! Totoro gets to visit Disneyland! He had a great time checking out all the shops in Downtown Disney and eating breakfast with the characters of Disney.

Totoro Gets a Dental Hygiene Appointment

Since Totoro had bath prior to his visit, we thought it would be nice to send him home with clean teeth as well. Totoro had a visit with a dental hygienist - Alex's mom.

I was so excited when I heard I was going home with
Rachael on Friday. Rachael’s Mum said we had to go to
bed early because we had a big day planned for Saturday.
We went to Sea World on the Gold Coast for Rachael’s
9th Birthday.
I really enjoyed hanging out with Rachael’s best
friends; Rachele and Day.



I went on some really exciting but scary rides,
my favourite ride was the rollercoaster. The first time
I went on it I had to hide in Rachael’s backpack
I ate some fish and chips for lunch and drank some
lemonade – it was yummy – much better than my usual
diet of dead meat.
I made some cool friends; a penguin
and a polar bear.

Next up we went to the water park. There was
an enormous slide, and Rachael and her friends
wanted me to go on it with them, but I sat with Rachie’s
Mum and Dad because I was too frightened.
I was very popular, some small children even tried
to steal me!!!

After that Rachael’s dad Rod and I went on the
Cork Screw Roller coaster again and again- I nearly threw
up my chippies!
I had a wonderful time with Rachael and her
family and friends, and I can’t wait to stay with
her again. Thanks Rachael!

Connie drives a Bratz car

After Chris took us home Jessica showed and helped me learn Irish dance. Then she moved her dolls out of the house and moved me in. Jess let me drive her Bratz car to the movies (TV screen) and we saw SPY KIDS Game Over but only the start because Jessie had to go to Irish dancing (I came too). I thought half of the steps were hard and the others were doubley hard. After we went to Chris’ and watched Legally Blonde. Macas in Australia is different from the one in the USA. Time to hit the sheets! (I looked good when Jenny took pics of me).

Connie came home with me. Connie and I played basketball and Connie nearly got a shot in! Connie and I played on the computer. For dinner we had Burritos, Connie loved it. He also played on my Ipod he really likes country music. He loved my talking parrot he played with it the whole day long. Connie had a great time. Bye bye I am techno geek.

After we left school we went to macdonalds Connie got some chips and I had a frappe. When we got home we had to get ready to go to dad's house. We got clothes and pyjamas. Next I showed him mathletics hes very good with decimals. I had to go swimming. After dad picked us up and we went to his house. We had t-bone for dinner, watched some tv and went to bed.

Connie came with me to swimming training. When we got there Connie stretched with me and my mum helped him. When we got home we did maths together. Connie tried tuna pie and he said “uumm”. After that we watched an animal movie. But there were no Connies in it. After the movie I had to go to bed at 8:30. I brushed my teeth first. Then I showed Connie my other toys. Then I turned off the lights and went to bed.

When we got home from school we jumped on my trampoline then we had afternoon tea. After that we talked to our friends on webmail. Then we read a story and Condor loved it. We jumped on the tampolining again and Condor loved that too. Then we played with my puppy. We drew pictures of anything and after that we some Art. I taught Condor some Art. Then we had dinner (lasagne). It was yum. Then we had a shower and went to bed and Condor enjoyed it.

A Mystery Package arrives

Totoro has gone to California but a mystery package arrived at Cannon Hill for the year 4/5 students. We were really excited and when we opened the package .. inside was a Condor! Her name is Connie and she has come from Chino in California. She is going to stay with us for a few weeks

when we got home from school izzy and I jumped on her tramp
and I liked her tramp. then we had afternoon tea we had a milo chocolate drink
after that izzy read a story to me. We did some art and izzy taught me some art cause she has got lots of art stuff.

Totoro is off to California for a holiday. He is going to visit a school in Chino and spend some time with the kids there so he wanted to have a big wash and be squeaky clean for his new adventure!

Totoro's Travels with CHAC students in Japan

japan was so much fun. I travelled with the students from CHAC and they showed me all the sights. They have all helped me to write about my adventures in my journal and they will put them in my blog soon!

On the 16th of September 2008 Totoro went to the music department to go to his guitar lessons. On his way to get his guitar lesson he took a picture of himself holding his big black guitar in its case. Then he met his new guitar teacher Mr Loveland. Then he taught Totoro some guitar strings. Then Totoro played a famous guitar song smoke on the water. After his lesson he put his guitar back down in the storage room the he went back to class to do science

i'm Ready to Rumble

Yes, I am definitely off to Japan. Yahoo!!!
My bag is packed and those gorgeous kids in CHAC Primary helped me out with my passport and even put great pics in my diary for me!

Where to first?

Hmm!

I'm just hanging around the Primary playground but I really want to travel. Where will I go to first? Let me see... there's a group of CHAC students heading off to Japan. Let's see if I can wangle a lift- they're a lot bigger than me but I think I am cute enough to con them into it.

I hear their teacher Ms Witham- Young is really kind so maybe I can sweet talk her into a free ride. I had better organise my passport. Gee , I don't know what information you need for a passport but I bet those smart kids in CHAC Primary will know because they have been making passports to travel to the Olympics. Hey kids can you send me a message to tell me what I need to put on my passport?
