At first I was a bit nervous, and I think I used eye-contact with the camera and the audience not just one. I think I looked at my page a bit too much. Next time i will memorize it more.

Obento The Greatest Food On Earth

On Thursday the 10Th of September we were delighted to see Mrs Witham walking down to primary with a big box.  As soon as she arrived to the courtyard she unwrapped the foil around the Box and out came Some Japanese lunch we were finally having OBENTO!!!!! We were all super excited. Soon after when we all got our obento we started to dig in and eat! It was super nice

 ( all except the Raw Octopus, YUK) Then when we were finish we thanked Mrs Witham for the Fantastic food and went to play.

Thanks Mrs Witham for this wonderful opportuniy to taste this lovely Japanese Food!

Shimul and Jesse's timetable

Two of my great friends Shimul and Japanese Jesse have made a timetable of their morning life before school which happens most of the time. the time of the event is in Japanese.                                                                                                       Shimul and Jesse’s timetable


Roku ji desu (6:00) – Roku ji juppun desuo (7:10) We wake up, brush and get changed

Nana ji nijuppun desu (7:20) We eat breakfast and get ready for school and get in the car

Nana ji yonjuppun desu (7:40) We start of for school

Hachi ji desu (8:00) We arrive at school

Hachi ji han desu (8:30) I start school and give Jesse to the next person in line for him (maybe)

In London

Hello All,

Sorry we haven't been that great on the email front. It has been hard at times to get to cafes. We spent three weeks in France and had a wonderful time. Paris was fantastic with lots to see and do. We then went to a place called Le Mans, which is where they have the 24 hour car race. After that to Vannes on the west coast of France - you may have to look that up on a map! We visited three different schools in France and it was fantastic. Maybe one day you will get to go there to school. After France we went to Ireland, it was great after six weeks to be in a country where everyone spoke English, mind you the accent was difficult to understand at times. We are currently back in London for a few days, before we go to Malaysia then home. I will put up lots of photos when we get home.

CHAC Grade 5 NAPLAN test week

Hi Totoro,
Today we did a NAPLAN test it was hard but the bad thing is that we have to do more tests tomorow and the next day. The test are about maths, writing and spelling. Today we did spelling and writing. We hope it does not get harder. I hope you have a good time at school. The whole class is missing you. The grade 4s are having a great time and the grade 5s are having a good time too. Mrs.Thomas is missing you too. I hope you are having good day and seeing lots of things in Europe. Thanks for the postcard from Edinburgh!

We are in Vienna

Hello again all. We are currently in Vienna and on the keyboard the z and y keys are back to front, so if I make a mistake it is not my fault! Our first stop on the tour was in Belgium where the chocolate is unreal, so are the waffles and we saw manneken Pis - please ask Ms Thomas to explain. We have been to Amsterdam, then Germany where we went on a cruise down the Rhine, then to Mount Rigi in Switzerland (where madame Gunn is from). The mountain was 1800 metres high and it is the first time I (Harry) saw snow. It was amazing. I made a snow angel and we had heaps of fun. This photo was taken in the garden from the Sound of Music.

Back in London

Hello All. We have been in Scotland for the last 8 days. It was really beautiful. We spent four days in Edinburgh, going to the castle and were there for the 21 gun salute. There were also bag pipes so it was really cool. We then drove to St Andrews the home of golf. After that we went to Loch Ness, we actually stayed about 10 metres from the Loch, I have some photos just having a bit of problem putting them up.... After that we went to Oban which is on the west coast of Scotland and near the Isle of Mull, and also Iona. It was really beautiful here, but Scotland was colder than London. Today I am off to the Tower of London and to ride the London Eye. The weather is beautiful and it is lovely and warm. Have you received our post card yet?

Hi Everyone What are you doing in class? I have Phenomena and a partly collapsed lung. I am finding it hard to breathe and get really tired. At Stonehenge

Mary, my godmother took us to Stonehenge. It was amazing, but really close to the motor way. You drive down the motor way and there it is. The stones that are now there are about 40% less than originally there. It is believed that some were taken away for building and other peoples houses. `It is really cold here at present.

Marina and me

In London I met Marina. Marina is only 3 months old and is very funny. She doesn't cry much and is really sweet. Her mum and dad, Maki and Fergus worked with mum in Japan

In Kuala Lumpur

Here Totoro is in KL. We went to the Petronas Towers but were unable to go up. So many people!

Getting ready for adventure

I am getting ready now to go to the UK, Scotland, Europe and Ireland. I am trying to pack my stuff and totoro is helping me. I also have a journal I will write everyday with all the things I will see and to. Today Totoro is just chilling looking at what I have to do before I leave in 5 days time. Our first stop will be Malaysia, and hopefully we will go to the Petronas Towers. We are there for two days before we head to London where my (fairy) godmother will meet me on Easter Sunday. I forgot to mention, I am Harry Witham. My mum is Ms Witham a Japanese teacher at CHAC.

Totoros Trip To Meghan's Place

In the afternoon we caught the bus home . When we got to Meghan's place we went on Scootle  activities to learn about Rainforests

Then we fed Megha's guinea pigs . Then we had dinner we had lasagne and salad it was yummy .

Then we brushed our teeth and went to bed . In the morning we caught the bus to school.

I had fun time it's fun catching the bus . GOOD BYE ! .

When Totoro went to Joel's house.

Yesterday, I came to Joel's house on the bus. It was really fun. We played on Joel's Nintendo DS. Joel said, "he was very good at it". Then I made a few new friends named Bruce and Happy Feet. Then we played Mathletics. We also played chess. Then Joel had to go and get his football boots, so we had a little rest. When he got home, we played a few games, then he had to go to football training. Then we had dinner and went to bed. I had a fun time at Joel's house.

Hi guys I went to Sophia's house on on um............. Thursday. I had a great time watching her do jazzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. It's cool any way. Her house is ginormous. I know how to play nintendo DS'S and I know how to make milos. You put milk in a cup and it in microwave, heat for 30 seconds, put in nesquik and milo. See ya!

Connie had a very good time and met the grade 4s. He  stayed at with students for the night

and wrote in his diary about what he did when he stayed there. He also went to PE with 1 of the new year 4s and we got some action shots of him running and playing and he is looking forward 2 

seeing everyone in California when he goes home this week.

After we came home from school we got changed . Then we had afternoon tea. After that we went on the computer. Lewis and I played Club Penguin.Lewis s penguins name is graffiti 9999.Lewis likes playing card jitsu at the dojo courtyard .After we had finished on the computer we found Lewis s soccer ball , so we played soccer with it. I kicked it so hard that I got a goal. Once we had finished playing soccer Lewis introduced me to his dog Bella. After that we had a shower . For dinner we had lamb ratatoullei and spaghetti yum yum. Then we brushed our teeth and went to bed. I had a great night.
